Papers submitted to the symposium must align with its subject and should include a research paper, review paper, research note, discussion data, relevant data, book review, report, introduction, or case study that contributes to the advancement of science.

Your paper should not contain any content previously presented in other academic journals or books.

Submit your paper according to the preparation guidelines using the original file extension (.hwp), PDF, or video format via the online submission page.

The author must translate the paper title into English and write their name in the Roman alphabet. The paper must include an abstract of five or fewer lines, with the relevant keywords written in Korean (or translated into English) beneath the abstract.

The executive office will review only the papers submitted before the deadline. Papers will not be received if they do not conform to the preparation guidelines, even if you submitted before the deadline.

Please note that the executive office will not return submitted papers.

Papers that win the ISSM Excellence award will be published as an e-book (PDF) and posted on the official home pages of the ISSM and the National Science Museum.

You may include special characters, tables, or images in your paper, but it must be written in Korean or English.

A paper must be organized in the following sequence: introduction, research method, research results, study, conclusion, references, and contributors (co-authors).

If you need to use Chinese characters, place them in parentheses (e.g., “international hall of science (國際科學館)”). For proper nouns, write the corresponding Chinese words the first time, then use only Korean thereafter if no further mention is necessary.

For proper nouns, such as names or places, write them in the original language.

Notes must be included as footnotes.

Footnotes should supplement information that is difficult to describe in the main body and should not be used solely to indicate a source or reference.

Each footnote should have its sequential number at the top left corner of the sentence or word it refers to.

All citations and references must follow the general guidelines specified below. For compiled or translated works, additional rules will apply.

◎ General format for citing Eastern and Western books: Author, title of the work, publisher, year of publication, and page numbers.
e.g., Hydraulics and the Discourse of it in Late Joseon Dynasty, Jipmoondang, 2000, 10p.

Contributors (co-authors) are those who have made practical and substantial contributions to the preparation of a paper. Individuals who have only assisted with simple reviewing and proofreading are excluded.

You must specifically describe each contributor’s role.
