|How long do you say 'Do not play games!' to children. Is there a way to use games in science museums? The workshop what visitors can learn about the “Building of Science Games” by Sarah Chu from the Royal Ontario Museum. A reactionary guide workshop that took New York by surprise, and a new technology tasting workshop will be held at ISSM 2018. (The contents of the workshop may vary depending on the circumstances of the institution.)

|Since 2014, over one hundred papers have been published annually, including a theoretical review on science museums and a case study with a sense of fact at the ISSM. In 2018, the best paper authors will be awarded 6 awards from the Minister and 20 awards from the National Science Museums to stimulate intellectual discourse in the field of science museum and contribute to strengthening the research capacity of the science museums.

|The case study presentation of the symposium examines the start and the possibility of the science and culture industry, which has recently attracted attention of many people inside and outside the industry. The five major national science museums(Republic of Korea)will look at the development process of exhibits by the Council for the Promotion of Exhibits, which aims to strengthen the capacity of their own exhibits. There are also presentations by experts about the modern reproduction of the automatic water clock 'Okru’ made in the Joseon Dynasty and the possibility of exhibiting and using the science museum.

|There are 135 registered science museums nationwide (2018.8), but is science museum a place to learn science? to play with science? a children playground? to go for a school field trip? A lot of people still do not know what science museums are doing. In order to develop the science museum for the future, ISSM collects various opinions about the 'Science Museum' as 'Big Data', 'Achievement and as an evaluation of the previous Basic Plan for the Development of the 1st and 3rd Science Museum', via SNS Channel and the gathered opinions will be discussed in earnest among the policy makers, planners and implementers to guide the direction of the science museum development.|
